THE JOURNAL CLUB: FEBRUARY EDITION

If you feel "burnout" setting in, if you feel demoralised and exhausted, it is best, for the sake of everyone, to withdraw and restore yourself.

FEBRUARY THEME: WITHDRAW & RESTORE

The hype of the holidays are over and if you’re like me you might have found yourself stuck back in the rut-race of life.

It’s easy to slip into that routine of catching back up, focusing on getting things done, getting some order back into the house, writing endless to-do lists…

Let me ask you this - are you scheduling in time for yourself? Are you on your own to-do list? How are you healing your own heart amid the business of every day?

We don’t see burnout coming, we don’t feel it simmering away (because we’re too busy), we have no idea we are about to self-combust until it’s too late.

So this month, let’s make a reminder in our journals to regularly take time for ourselves, to withdraw and restore, so that burnout fizzles out before it’s even started.

WRITING PROMPT:

What do you need to do/change/consider to be able to withdraw and restore more regularly?

ART-MAKING PROMPT:

Use an image from a magazine as a background to journal over the top of.

There is no right or wrong way to art journal. Whether you’re a journaling beginner or seasoned journaler, if you start feeling creatively blocked or become overwhelmed, remember to keep things as simple as possible, enjoy the simplicity of journaling and find out or re-discover what works for YOU.
